The mission of the Office of Institutional Risk Management (IRM) is to provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of UNCG objectives; specifically by enhancing risk response decisions and working to identify and manage risk across the UNCG community. IRM is a process, effected by an university’s Board of Trustees, Senior Leadership, and faculty and staff, applied in the strategy setting and across the enterprise, designed to identify potential events that may affect the entity and manage risks to be within its risk appetite, to provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of university objectives. We have started with implementation of the process in our strategic planning. Take a look at this overview.
