Rental Vehicle Insurance

All vehicles rented on behalf of UNCG business by approved UNCG employees/drivers are insured by Travelers Insurance Company with liability limits of $1,000,000 per person and $10,000,000 per accident and physical damage limits up to $750,000 per accident.  Any insurance offered by the rental company cannot be accepted and/or paid for with State funds.

All vehicles meeting the following criteria must be reported to Enterprise Risk Management prior taking control of the vehicle by calling 336.256.1102 or emailing [email protected].  The vehicle year, make, model, vehicle identification number (VIN), color, and license plate number will be required.

• 15 passenger vans
• If under 10,000 gvw with value over $40,000
• If over 10,000 gvw with value over $60,000

An insurance card and/or certificate of insurance (COI) can be presented to the rental company at the time of pick-up.
